Paula G. Sturgill, 62, of Ashland, died Monday, September 9, 2019 at Kings Daughters Medical Center. She was born April 27, 1957 in Ironton, OH the daughter of the late William and Winona Stewart Halterman.
She was a retired nurse.
Survivors include her husband, Robert G. Sturgill; two daughters, Heather Mantle and husband Shea of Ashland and Rachel Halterman of Ashland; one brother, William Halterman of Ashland; two grandchildren, Willow Rice and Ethan Bowen. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, September 13, 2019 at Dixon Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

Paula was a good friend at PBHS. She was always a pleasure to talk to and had a great sense of humor. I just thought about her the other day. For me, she will be really missed. I wish the best for her family and offer my sympathy.

Paula lived just a few blocks away from the Stafford house. We shared many laughs and good times together. She was one of my favorite "red-headed sisters" and I am sad to hear she passed. Rest in peace my friend...
