I attended Kay's funeral today. The place was packed - standing room only. Everyone hurting over the loss of a sweet friend and loving family member. I got to know Kay better after our high school graduation. She helped me with several class reunions and our paths crossed a lot with my job in the Ashland School System and her job in the Boyd Co. School System. She left this life way too soon. It is just so very sad. She would have made a great social worker. Rest in peace dear Kay.

Absolutely one of the sweetest people I've ever known.  I ran into Kay about five weeks before she passed away, and at that time, she was doing very well.  She still had the greatest smile and that shiny personality.  I hope that Kim and the rest of Kay's family get through this tough time with as little pain as possible.

I ran into Kay at the mall one Christmas and she gave me the biggest, most wonderful hug. That is what I remember of when I think of  Kay.... a hug where she didn't let go...

My memories of Kay date way back to grade school at Poage when I, as my Mom always said, was the creamy filling in the middle of the two chocolate cookies in an Oreo-inseparable! I always knew how wonderful it was to have such special twin friends like Alice Kay and Kathy Kim! Throughout the years, I have thought of them warmly on their birthday, April 7th! Kay's out-going personality, huge heart and kindness have always made me smile everytime I think of her! She absolutely would have made a superior social worker and I am so proud of her for accomplishing that degree! She loved her family and especially her boys and was proud to brag about them a bit! What a legacy she leaves! My most sincere sympathies to you, Dorothy, Kim, Nancy and Mary and your families on this untimely loss, but what memories you must have to hold on to forever! Bless you and may God hold you and keep you in His House as you heal. Hopefully soon your sadness will turn to wonderful memories to sustain you.  As Always, Paula
