Libby and I were inseparable in High School! I loved her!! She was so much fun.
One of my favorite memories of her were during our Jr. year and she was rushing Theta. She was in our station wagon with me, ClaraJO Wheeler and my dad. We were heading down 13th Street (probably coming from a stop at the Dairy Cheer) in my parents' station wagon (with the wood on the side) and my dad was driving. ClaraJo and I told Libby she had to bark out the back window until we got to her house. She pleaded with my dad to not let us make her but he told her she had to!! It was great!
I practically lived at her house and she at mine.
I saw her a few times when I was at Uky but lost touch with her after her first marriage.
I ran into her in Burgin, Ky when she was visiting the neighbors next door to my dad's cottage. I tried to get her to come to our reunion but she had an opportunity to go on a great vacation (I think Hawaii) at the same time.
I think about her often and am still in touch with her mother.
I was devastated when I heard she had passed away from breast cancer.

Libby and I spent a lot of our junior high years together. She was one of the funniest people I have ever known! We always walked home from school together. In later years, we got together a few times and introduced our kids to each other. The last time I talked to her was after she was diagnosed with breast cancer. I regret that I didn't get to see her before she passed away, it all happened so fast. I still miss her.
