David was the craziest of all my friends. I got to know David in the 9th grade when I was "dating" David Anderson. Whenever David A. came over to my house, David K. was usually with him. Then when things would go badly between me and David, David K. would be there to listen to me vent and just be a friend. I never knew what to expect from him! Also, in 9th grade, he installed a telephone in my bedroom. I remember one evening, we literally talked on the phone the entire night!

I visited him at the hospice center just before he passed away. I don't know if he knew I was there or not. He looked at me but was unable to speak. He was way too young to leave us. I miss him.
