Obituary for John Kevin Clark

John Kevin Clark, age 67, of Louisville, formerly of Ashland, passed from this life on July 7, 2025, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Huntington, surrounded by the love of his devoted family.
John was born on October 23, 1957, in Ashland, Kentucky, to the late Donald M. Clark, Sr. and Betty Jo Fields Clark. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald Milton Clark, Jr. and Gary Lee Clark.
John was a graduate of Paul G. Blazer in 1975 and furthered his education with a degree in accounting. He began his career with Ashland Oil and later being transferred to Houston, Texas, where he worked for seven years before relocating to Louisville. He continued his service to the community as an employee of the Jefferson County Clerk’s Office and remained active and industrious, operating his own lawn care and odd jobs business to stay busy and engaged.
A man of Christian faith and quiet generosity, John was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. He had a warm heart and a selfless spirit, always willing to lend a hand to those in need. Though not a sportsman himself, he loved spending time with family watching March Madness. He also found great joy in cooking, traveling, appreciating art, and connecting with people from all walks of life.
John is survived by his beloved sister, Pamela Jo Clark of Ashland; his nephews, Anthony Neal (Andrea) Clark of Florence, John Tyler (Easter) Pennington of Greenville, SC; and great nephews, Cameron Clark, Carson Clark, Colton Clark, and Corbin Clark; and a lifelong friend, Lee Ann Donta. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, quiet strength, and enduring love.
In accordance with John’s wishes, a graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, July 11, 2025, at Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Steve Harris officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice Care Center, 2330 Pollard Road, Ashland, KY 41101.
