One of my best friends in high school and college. We went on many fishing and hunting adventures together during those years. I am so saddened by his passing. Prayers to Susan and the girls and extended family. This is a tough one.

I met Dempsey at Coles, and we became good friends very quickly.  As we went through high school and we could all drive, he became one of the group of 10 or so core friends that centered around Grandview Drive.  As a group of guys growing up, we played board games, listened to albums, played sports, watched TV, learned to drive, and discovered girls.  Demspey was one of us, and that carried through even as life began to take us all in different directions.

As Gary said - this one leaves a bigger hole than most.

Susan and the girls will have each other to lean on, and the memories of a dad with a great smile and a laugh that won't be forgotten.

So sad to hear of Dempsey's passing. He was one of our gain which makes this one sting harder. Dempsey and I made many a drive to Morehead in pursuit of higher education. We had a good time talking back and forth during those trips. Dempsey was a good man who will be missed. Beth worked some with Susan at Rose Hill. Prayers to her, the girls and the grands. Dempsey will be remembered. Tremendous person.
