Linda Joyce Holbrook, 64, of Flatwoods, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at her residence.
She was born in Ashland, Kentucky on October 30, 1957 to the late Samuel Paul Holbrook Sr., and Clotine Boggs Holbroook.
Linda was a 1975 graduate of Paul Blazer High School and graduated with an Associate’s Degree from Ashland Community College. She had been employed as a bookkeeper with Griffith Delaney Hillman and Lett for 35 years. A trivia buff, Linda enjoyed going to the movies, collecting Hallmark ornaments, doing cross stitch and traveling with her family.
Survivors include a brother, Samuel (Jan) Holbrook, Jr. of Hurricane, WV; niece, Patricia (Roger) Evans of Cannonsburg, KY; and a great nephew, Michael (Shelby) Evans of Lexington, KY.
Funeral services will begin at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2022, at STEEN FUNERAL HOME CENTRAL AVENUE CHAPEL. A private burial will be held on Friday, at Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

I remember Linda as a sweet, quiet gal - always shy, kept to herself. She had such a calm, sweet demeanor. Soft spoken, lovely smile - never got involved in the hustling high school life, but seemed very much aware of all around her. She'd speak when spoken to, but otherwat ise left everyone alone. I lost track of this sweet person after graduation, I hope and pray that heaven welcomed her with open arms.
