Elizabeth Beth Lucas McGuffin, 50, of Rush, Ky., died May 5, 2007, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky., following an extended illness.
She was born Jan. 6, 1957, in Ashland.
She was the former director of Boyd County Day Care Center, a graduate of Paul G. Blazer High School and a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
Surviving are her father, L.R. Lucas, and his wife, Betty, of Grayson, Ky.; her mother, Shay Barrett Miller, and her husband, Paul, of Ashland; her husband, Joe McGuffin of Rush; a daughter, Shan Weinfurtner of Ashland; a brother, Robert Barrett Lucas of Ashland; and grandchildren Lindsey Weinfurtner, Terrick Smith, Taryn Smith and Tamel Smith.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today, May 8, 2007, at Rose Hill Burial Park by the Rev. Tom Riffe. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
Family will receive friends after noon at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland
Beth, You passed over closely with Jason (my Angel) who passed away on April 26 of 2007. I have good memories of you and I know Jason will find you in Heaven. Love always, Connie
